Effective September 22, Yolo County will allow nail salons in West Sacramento and physician-ordered electrolysis to resume indoor operations with modifications while following State of California guidance, the County’s face covering order, and strict social distancing protocols

California’s Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly announced on September 22 during a video conference update on COVID-19 that the state has relaxed restrictions on nail salons and physician-ordered electrolysis to be open indoors with modifications regardless of the tier and that counties will be able to make their own decisions on whether these industries can reopen and when.

“The re-opening of nail salons is consistent with ensuring a safe environment for business patrons, owners and employees,” said Chair of the Yolo County Board of Supervisors Gary Sandy.

To reflect this new change, Yolo County has updated their Roadmap to Recovery page and amended the local health order’s attachment on business and activity restrictions
